Lunch @ Honey & Co, Fitzrovia

Honey & Co is a small restaurant with huge flavours that can transport you away from the grey UK winter to the spicy warmth of the Middle East.  The atmosphere is bustling with full tables and wonderful food aromas.

Rock ordered a glass of their fantastic home-made lemonade while I had a trusty Camden Hell’s Lager.  We shared a starter ….falafel with hummus, tomato and orange.  We have eaten falafel in numerous places around the world and these – combined so well with the hummus and fruits – were amongst the very best.

I went on to the Fish Pastilla – a combination of smoked haddock and hake wrapped in filo pastry and served with a zingy green salad.  But Rock made an even better choice – Crispy Quail with a white bean hummus and mixed salad.  We had not intended to have dessert but we were enjoying ourselves so much that we could not resist.  We chose the Quince & Blueberry Cheesecake – unbelievably good.

This was an eating experience that we will remember for a very long time!

Wade and Rock are a UK based couple who love good food and wildlife and love travelling to find it. Wade does most, but not all, of the writing and the photography. Rock shares the eating experience and tells Wade when planned posts fall short on sense or style or taste. In the opinion of Wade (and many of our friends) she is also a fabulous baker. WadeandRockandFood mainly consists of reviews of restaurants and pubs we have recently visited. WadeandRockandWildlife and WadeandRockandPlaces are mostly photoblogs.
