Afternoon Tea@The Greenway, Cheltenham

We don’t do afternoon tea very often and this experience probably demonstrates why.  We had a fabulous lunch at The Greenway a couple of years ago and our expectations were high, perhaps too high.

The pot of tea was good.  The sandwiches were OK.  The chocolate éclairs, the date scones and the mulled wine jelly went down well.  But the carrot cake, Victoria sponge, plain scones and chocolate torte were pretty ordinary.  We needed less quantity, more quality.  Or maybe, afternoon tea is just not for us!

Wade and Rock are a UK based couple who love good food and wildlife and love travelling to find it. Wade does most, but not all, of the writing and the photography. Rock shares the eating experience and tells Wade when planned posts fall short on sense or style or taste. In the opinion of Wade (and many of our friends) she is also a fabulous baker. WadeandRockandFood mainly consists of reviews of restaurants and pubs we have recently visited. WadeandRockandWildlife and WadeandRockandPlaces are mostly photoblogs.
