Coffee, petit fours with William Curley & the Isley Bros

Put yourself in my place…. we have about 45 minutes spare and it’s my shout what we do with it. I think it’s time for a treat! We head to William Curley, patissier and chocolatier for coffee and something to go with it.

As we walk into the Belgravia boutique Rock beams at the display of finely crafted chocolates and cakes. That lady clearly believes this place contains some sort of harvest for the world. We order coffee and, despite the glory of the chocolate, it is the vibrant colour of the petit fours that grabs our attention.

There is an apricot mousse that tastes like a summer breeze. The lemon curd creation and the tiny hazelnut choux bun are beautiful. But the chocolate biscuit & meringue is best and manages to create more joy that you might guess at from behind a painted smile.

If you love chocolate and patisserie – come to this place – it’s your thing!   (at least 7 song titles)

Wade and Rock are a UK based couple who love good food and wildlife and love travelling to find it. Wade does most, but not all, of the writing and the photography. Rock shares the eating experience and tells Wade when planned posts fall short on sense or style or taste. In the opinion of Wade (and many of our friends) she is also a fabulous baker. WadeandRockandFood mainly consists of reviews of restaurants and pubs we have recently visited. WadeandRockandWildlife and WadeandRockandPlaces are mostly photoblogs.
