Lunch@Thoughtful Bread, Bath

Ahead of another visit to the theatre in Bath, we are having a light lunch at Thoughtful Bread – one of the best places around for coffee, cakes, salads and most of all ….bread.

As it is unlicensed I try something different – Gingerella Ginger Ale. It is made from organic ginger, lemon, organic vanilla all grown in Sri Lanka and sugar grown in India. For a soft drink – it is fabulous!

Rock and I share a Croque Monsieur – it is the best one I’ve ever had. Beautiful toasted bread, of course, but also fabulous full flavoured cheddar and beautiful quality ham.

Then we share the lemon meringue tart with the lightest meringue covering a tangy lemon centre. Superb. Followed by great coffee.

They just never let us down here.

Wade and Rock are a UK based couple who love good food and wildlife and love travelling to find it. Wade does most, but not all, of the writing and the photography. Rock shares the eating experience and tells Wade when planned posts fall short on sense or style or taste. In the opinion of Wade (and many of our friends) she is also a fabulous baker. WadeandRockandFood mainly consists of reviews of restaurants and pubs we have recently visited. WadeandRockandWildlife and WadeandRockandPlaces are mostly photoblogs.
